About Arcade Attic

We are more than a shop — we are custodians of gaming history, passionate about bringing the magic of retro games to collectors and enthusiasts across the United Kingdom.

From a Bedroom Collection to the UK's Favourite Retro Store

Arcade Attic began in 2012 when founder James Hargreaves converted his personal retro game collection into a small market stall in Brighton. What started as a weekend hobby quickly grew into one of the UK's most respected specialist retro gaming retailers.

Today, our dedicated high-street store carries over 5,000 game titles, 200+ console variants and an ever-rotating selection of collectible figures and exclusive merchandise. Our team of experts sources items from estates, car boot sales and specialist dealers across Britain and Europe.

We take great pride in authenticity, fair pricing and the in-store experience. Every visit to Arcade Attic is an adventure through decades of gaming history.

What We Stand For

Our Values

Authenticity First

We never compromise on the genuineness of what we sell. Every cartridge, disc and console is tested and verified before it reaches our shelves.

Community Over Commerce

Arcade Attic exists for the love of games. We host regular events, support local gaming communities and are always happy to chat — no purchase necessary.

Ethical Trading

We trade fairly, price honestly and operate in full compliance with UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and GDPR data regulations.
